Clan Galpu

Gali is a traditional Yolngu Mala Leader and Galpu clan representative, and is a prominent member of the local Uniting Church of Galiwin'ku.

Gali was taught the traditional art forms, together with related laws and stories by his father (Gakupa) before he passed away, and is today responsible as 'boss' and owner of the sacred feathered ceremonial morning-star poles (Banumbirr) for the Galpu clan.
