Born in 1979 Rosella Namok is an inaugural member of the Lockhart River Art Gang, and today paints independently from her studio in Cairns.
Rosella’s paintings span the divide between modern and traditional, referring to the traditional stories of her people and the clans of her area, but also exploring personal and contemporary narratives. Since she bagan painting, Rosella has been included in over 30 national and international exhibitions, biennales and prizes and is represented in every major public gallery in Australia, in addition to major corporate and private collections both in Australian and internationally.
