JANET FIELDHOUSE IN THE AUSTRALIAN NEWSPAPER

April 2015

Gallery artist Janet Fieldhouse has stuck in the mind of those who saw her most recent exhibition presented at the Cairns Regional Gallery last year, as Nicolas Rothwell writes in the Australian newspaper:

There is, though, another path open to the artist seeking to engage with inherited indigenous themes. That path is exemplified by a young master in ceramic art-making from far north Queensland, Janet Fieldhouse, creator of Mark and Memory, one of last year’s most startling and innovative public gallery shows.
